Mental
health care is not merely about having a mental disorder and getting it treated.
It’s about how well you feel fine inside your head. Are your thoughts bothering
you? Are you feeling sad, denied, alone, lost or hopeless? It all matters….Mental
health deserves equal care just like how well you maintain your physical health.
Recall about how well you take care about your physicality. Healthy food,
supplements, beauty products, all sorts of salon treatments and gym. Yet, how
much have you thought about your mental health. Have you taken enough care with
regard to your stresses and anxieties? Are you considered about how mindful you
are when doing things? Are you not ready to open up about issues bothering you
so much just because you are worried that people would judge you?
Imagine that you fell and broke your leg. Would
anybody come to you and say to not worry about it, it’ll be fine? No, isn’t it.
You’d seek a professional and get the required treatments. Similarly, unhealthy
symptoms of the mind too requires equal care. Heartaches and emotional pain hurts
our mind just like physical pain would do. The internal damage to the mind too
is similar to physical damage. And if we do not seek help at the right time it
may end up in critical situations, sometimes irreversible.
Our
mental wellbeing is important as it goes on to affect both our present and future.
It is more than what we assume it to be. If we are not in the right space of mind, it
will definitely impact our thinking, actions, decisions and happiness after
all. Therefore, it is vital to make sure that you are mindful about your mental
health and is taking the right precautions.
We all perceive things differently. Similarly,
every person do not breakdown as easily as others. Yet, it is high time to
realize that what you are today is solely due to your thoughts and decision
making process. You may not have complete control over your physicality, but
have you even realized that your mentality is definitely under your control.
Yeah, sometimes or many a times we feel messed up in the head, not knowing what
to do or involuntary thoughts and feelings troubling us. That is why it is
IMPORTANT to be mindful. There are many things which we can do to have control
over our mentality. Sports, music, dance, meditation and yoga are some of the
wonderful practices to boost up your endorphins which helps us to think fresh. But, when you know that something is really
wrong where you find it difficult to cope up, seeking help is vital. A simple
step, maybe talking to a person about it in the first place would certainly
make a change. Now, whom to talk? Sometimes, simply talking to a trusted
person, your parents, a friend or partner would help out. But it does not help
always. Certain issues within our mind need some solid direction to help get
resolved. That is when you need to talk to a professional who would guide you
through.
Keep
this in mind! Once you are broken completely the consequences may become
permanent. Even though things mend, you may never be able to see life the way
you used to do. But, if you remain resilient and conscious about what’s going
on in your head, you can conquer your mind. Then of course, no matter what, you
have complete control over your mind, body and even the world.
