Power of Thoughts & Mental Rehearsal

Thoughts become things. Yes! You read it right. Thoughts are magnetic. Once we start thinking of something, these thoughts are released to the universe with a certain frequency. They attract things of the same frequency and would reflect back to us. That is why we should always focus on only what we want in our lives.

We as human beings spend almost all our time thinking about things. The imagined, mental practice of performing an act is known as mental rehearsing. We often tend to imagine  things before they actually happen. For instance, in the morning we think about having rice and curry for lunch. We end up cooking rice and curry and having it for lunch. If there is a function that we would be participating in the following month, we would imagine about how we would dress.  And the chance is that we would dress up and go exactly the same way.

Most of the time we tend to be following and living the same pattern of life. That is partly because we mentally rehearse the same pattern of thoughts and situations in our minds. If we need a change in our lifestyle, we need to change our thinking and rehearse mentally of what we want our life to be like.

A quite common phrase that almost all of us would have used at least once in our life is “Why always me?” Remember! It’s not always you. Most of the time we expect the best to happen. But have we always released the right magnetic thoughts to the universe and imagined it the same way? For instance, imagine that there is an interview tomorrow that we need to pass desperately but in our minds we worry about failing it and then think about what the consequences would be after.

Now remember, thoughts are magnetic and would reflect energy with the same frequency back to us which would mean that there is a higher possibility of us actually failing it.  Therefore if we need to pass that interview, we need to think about it actually happening and visualize that we have already achieved it. Live that happy moment for a while and do not forget to prepare for the interview and be confident.

Something that we always have to keep in mind is that we need to think and rehearse only about things that we want to happen in our lives. Yet, there are situations where not everything in life would go according to our thoughts, wishes and expectations.  We need to be strong enough to take anything that may come our way.  Because “Everything happens for a reason”.

Every DAY should be a mentally healthy day......

How often do we focus on our mental wellbeing? We take our mentality for granted. We have to remember that our mental breakdowns equally impact our wellbeing just like physical damage. Let’s look at a few effective practices that we can use to make sure that we are mentally healthy.

Being mindful

Being mindful about our mental state is essential to have a good mental balance. This would allow us to know what type of steps we need to take in order to channel our thoughts, feelings and emotions in the right direction.

Self-love

We often forget to love ourselves and take care of ourselves. Rest when you are tired and enjoy life when it’s time. Eat what you love and what nourishes your spirit and upgrade your health. Appreciate yourself for what you are what you have achieved so far. Set boundaries so that others cannot disrespect you ever again.

Exercise

Regular exercise has proven to improve mental health by reducing anxiety, depression and negative mood. Exercise has immediate effects on the brain and changes the anatomy, physiology and function of the brain. Doing exercises 3 to 4 times a week for approximately 30 minutes can change your life our the good.

Positive mental rehearsal

Thoughts become things. Looking at the positive aspect of things & happenings and talking positive words are key to create a positive mindset within us. Keep in mind that we attract what we think and say.

Reaching out

Reaching for support when needed is vital. Ignoring mental breakdowns or not attempting to seek help due to various other reasons like stigma or "it will just pass' could cost a lot. Talk to and seek help from a professional when you need.

Cheers to mentally healthy life....
